One of the things we have to do is flip the expectation that we need to prove racism and sexism and fascism and instead ask the people who doubt: What would convince you? What’s the level of evidence you need? Even if they refuse to answer, bystanders can ask themselves the question.
We dealt with the "was it or wasn't it a white supremacist signal" last time with the OK sign (hint: it was) and squabbling over that went on for months and ended up with a lot of good people smeared for correctly saying that it was and had been since the 90s so maybe be cognizant of that today
