I think people should make an effort to sincerely tell people who improve their life what they mean to them. Have a boss that really supported you? Tell them that repeatedly. Have a best friend who you love? Tell them in detail how you appreciate them. Love an artist? Tell them why. Life is hard. 🏴‍☠️

I’ve spent most of my life being “the girl who draws,” then went to college to get an animation/illustration degree. I never got a professional art job and instead I got really burnt out from drawing. As I shifted careers and focus on job hunting again, I’m re-examining my relationship with art.

Still on a drawing hiatus, though I’ve been making other kinds of art. It’s been nice.

Recently drew this P-51 Mustang for my step-dad for Father’s Day. He loves that model plane and I appreciate how much he’s stepped up as a parent in my life when he didn’t have to.

My mom’s birthday is today so I colored/painted this shot of a video she took during her recent vacation to Hawaii. She really enjoyed this view in particular.
