Hegseth asked did he get the job “because of his skin color? Or his skill? We’ll never know, but always doubt.”

this feels like a bit of a misunderstanding of human psychology though- if the mom doesn't double down then she has to admit to herself that she killed her own kid and I dunno that a lot of people are actually capable of that level of self reflection and honesty
