@kylekulinskishow.bsky.social was absolutely vindicated by Trump's and Elon's rampage in the executive branch. I hope Briahna Joy Gray is learning from this at least. Don't take risks with other people's lives. You don't have the foresight to do that.

It's fun for me to discuss policy in detail, but the average American doesn't engage with policy much, if at all. I wish they did, but they don't. Any hope of a decent future requires us to focus on the surface-level character of a person with a sprinkle of policy on top, otherwise eyes will glaze.

I let my ceiling fan "warm up" an hour before I go to bed, otherwise it creaks and groans while I'm trying to go to sleep. There are better solutions to this problem, but this one is mine.

Considering all that's going on, I thought it would be good to make a thread about limiting how much tax you pay to the US when immigrating to another country (this doesn't apply to expatriates). There are some nifty tax credits that can completely remove your tax burden while living abroad. 🧵

Bill Maher's transformation into a cranky old man is a fascinating example of how age-related stagnation can be a corrupting force.

We're entering an era I call 'The Great Reset.' It's a period marked by significant global instability, with key components including rampant austerity, aggressive economic isolationism, brazen imperialism, water and food scarcity, and an increase in unpredictable natural disasters.

This is a post-truth world, where everything is black and white, and grey is smothered to death in-between. Speech is wholly worthless if your words are incompatible with your audience. Heuristics guide biases, a process no different from what leads to stereotypes, filtering out the finer details.

Don't spend your money, not a penny unless you absolutely have to (physical or mental health). Find a way to get free media, like with file sharing. Grow as much of your own food as you can. The further you distance yourself from the economy, the more resilient you'll be after the crash. #resist

Call to Action: Nationwide General Strike incoming.

At least 11 million people are needed to pledge, that's nearly 3.5% of the US population. When the number hits 11 million it's time to strike. Spread widely.

Can we please stop in-fighting about controlled-opposition and harm reduction? We need unity in this time of crisis, but I'm still seeing people fight over an election that's over! We have our enemies, and we need to stop them. Focus should be wholely directed at the robber barons. #resist #revolt

Dear Governor Kathy Hochul:

It's time.

You have the power to remove Eric Adams from office as NYC mayor.

Take a stand -- and stand up for cleaning up corruption in New York.

REMOVE ADAMS NOW.

Sincerely,
A New Yorker

The draft of a 1st-of-its-kind study of nature across the US was weeks from completion when President Trump issued an EO that ended it.

The project leader called it “too important to die.” The experts who worked on the Natl Nature Assessment are figuring out how to publish it outside the govt.

What if we just start our own government? Maybe pretend it's a nonprofit, but really it's masquerading as a public good to replace what we're losing with the federal government?

It'd have to start small of course. Register it as a 503(c) (if such a process still exists in the near future).

Donold is blaming a plane crash that killed 67 people on “DEI” with zero evidence.

He is attempting to use racism to deflect from the fact it is HIS fault. He had just removed 100 FAA senior officials.

It’s been 11 days and there are 67 bodies in the Potomac in Washington DC because of him.
