I wonder what it’s like to experience Taylor Swift without critical thinking skills

Ann Radcliffe eating hard cheese right before bed to give herself nightmares, Stoker claiming Dracula was the result of a nightmare induced by a “too generous helping of dressed crab,” let’s go back to the golden age of eating incredibly rich food before bed to create horror literature

You know, this app might be in the middle of repressing critical voices while giving lenient treatment to aggressive transphobes, but at least it's also increasingly bad at book promotion and lit talk, my main reason for being anywhere online anymore

I feel seen. I write soooo slow now. I don't know how to boost my momentum. None of the old tricks are working!

Me in 2025: passing a story like a kidney stone once every three months.

i'm sorry but I can't stop thinking about how funny it is to write a song called "the fate of ophelia" and have it be an upbeat pop song about your quarterback boyfriend. thank god I found a man so I don't have to kill myself

pssst, wanna read a weird book of short stories about horses that will destroy your notion of what "horse books" are and who they're for and make you want to buy a mule?

My feelings about Banned Books Week are that no indeedy parents do NOT have the right to decide what their own children read, because children are human beings with the right to dignity and privacy.

Agreeing w the parents rights premise shifts the Overton window in the wrong ass direction.
