I'm the eco-socialist college professor that 80s/90s AM Radio warned you about. I also like to heat up the kitchen a bit and spend time exploring with my wife and our dog, Otis. Hail Satan.

Do you feel overwhelmed? Tired? Exhausted with the constant news cycle?

I want you to know: that's their goal.

They want you checked out. They want you burnt out. I get it. I feel it.

Take a break, but don't give up. When you give up, they win.

America is Gotham City at the moment. There is no Batman coming to save us. We need to build communities again and remember the oath they made us repeat: "With liberty and justice FOR ALL." Justice swings both ways. Justice for the victim. And justice done to the convicted.

To think, if we were all critical thinkers, had universal healthcare, universal per-k, and a tax on billionaires similar to how property taxes are calculated, we could have disposable income, public spaces, and a happier life. Instead we get imperialistic fascism. GOP: Yesterday's failures, TODAY!

What if Absolute Joker's "true form" is this universe's version of Etrigan? Like, the human form can't joke, but the demon form can ONLY speak in jokes.

"85/15 meat (medium) grilled on a Kaiser Roll (sesame seed) with bacon, grilled mushrooms, and thinly sliced 60/40 red onions/jalapeños. Condiments are optional. I prefer a shot or two of malt vinegar with a light bit of ketchup."

As a teacher, I just *know* when they get to the unit on our time period in future history classes, the kids are going to be engaged. "Wait, and people just stood around shaing this meme as the POTUS tore down the east wing of their capitol residence and ignored the law of hte land?"

Why am I paying a $75+ monthly fee just to get constant telemarketing calls, a shitty meme from my brother, and the occasional "guess who died?" call from a distant relative? I have various emails. Reach me there.

Just got back from a lovely trip in Toronto. Stayed in Old Town, visited some wonderful restaurants, walked around a ton, and I even got to visit the hospital while I was there! Fun times.

At the heart of this matter is a key question of American democracy: whether, under the U.S. Constitution, the president has more spending authority than either Congress or the Supreme Court has ever previously permitted.

It's a concept that’s normally dry, esoteric and distanced from Americans' everyday lives, yet the heart of the matter is a key question of American democracy.
