Last week ushered in Spookymonth like a full house (of Usher)…and this week, our hand is all queens. To wit: Lauren Parker makes her Story Hour debut, Rachel Unger is again among us! Join us Wednesday, 7:00 p.m. PDT! @laurenparker.bsky.social @rachelunger.bsky.social www.storyhour2020.com
Waist-up color photo of writer Lauren Parker, a fair-skinned woman with short hair dyed bright pink and tattoos on both arms. She wears a strapless smocked top (or perhaps a dress) in a pink floral, one large ring on each hand, a watch with a metal band, dangling earrings, a septum ring, large plastic-framed glasses, and bright pink lipstick. She is in what appears to be a large room with wood paneling; large speakers loom on the ceiling. She stands before a microphone, sheets of white paper in hand, and looks out to the audience with her face alert and almost smiling. Full-body color photo of writer Rachel Unger, a fair-skinned woman with brown hair in pigtails. She wears a blue-and-orange bike jersey, black bike shorts, sunglasses, cycling shoes, and a white bike helmet. This is because she is on a black-and-green Cannondale bicycle, having just completed the AIDS/LifeCycle bike ride. Palm trees, blue sky, sandy beach, and onlookers form a background. She smiles broadly, joyfully, into the camera.

Today is pub day for Tell Me Yours, I’ll Tell You Mine! However much writing can be a solitary act, putting a book out definitely isn’t. Thanks to Stillhouse Press and all of Tell Me Yours’ many champions.

My first book is out now. I hope you like it.

As far as I can tell, ChatGPT made up most or all of this advice. Googling easily provided the correct fix, which is unrelated to all this.
installed a new filter in my pur faucet system, and the red light is still flashing
If your PUR faucet filter's red light keeps flashing even after you've installed a new cartridge, it usually means the filter reset mechanism didn't register properly. Here's what to try:
• Step-by-step fix
1. Make sure the filter is seated correctly.
• Remove the filter and reinsert it firmly.
• It should click or snap into place - if it's even slightly off, the sensor won't detect it.
2. Reset the indicator light manually.
• Hold down the reset button (usually on top or near the light) for 5-10 seconds.
• The light should flash green, then turn off - confirming the reset.
• If it stays red, release and hold it again for another few seconds.
3. Run cold water for 5-10 seconds.
• Some models require water to flow through before they register a new filter.
4. Check for battery issues (if your model has them).
• Some PUR faucet systems use a small internal battery that powers the light.
• If the light doesn't change no matter what you do, the battery might be dead (unfortunately, it's often not replaceable — you'd

David Anaxagoras assured me that the Sam character is not based on @rebelsam94.bsky.social, but Story Hour does have video evidence of Sam attesting to his love for curly fries. Coincidence? Or something cosmic?
pronouncedlahra.bsky.social
This Story Hour was extra fun for me because David Anaxagoras let me read Astrid's messages in "Your Dasher Has Accidentally Awakened the Crawling Chaos by Gazing into the Loathsome Geometry of the Taco Pup Mega-Muncher Meal Box." They are very voicey! Also, you have never heard me cuss so much.

Spookymonth starts off in style with stories from @frankoreto.bsky.social and @davidanaxagoras.com! Enjoy the ride as they take us through stories suffused with humor, sweetness, and serious points—along with the dread, chills, and scares. You can still watch! youtu.be/Dnf42fYDxTE

I have been doing some important but not happy-making reposts today, so here: a little escape in a beautiful cape. Let's be aware of our real world and strive to improve it, but also occasionally venture beyond (last week, it was the Fantastique Starfall Ball for me).
Waist-up color photo, heavily backlit in purple, stands before part of a crescent moon frame decked with lavender sprigs and purple-black roses. She reaches up to a blossom, smiling slightly. She wears a lavender gown with a plunging neckline, gray fingerless gloves, pearl drop earrings, a crown with pearls forming flower shapes, and a handmade gray-and-purple lace cape with pearl edging and a silvery leather Dracula collar. Her eye makeup includes silver graphic liner and white mascara, making her eyes look dark and (she hopes) otherworldly. Marianne Kirby made the cape.
