Had Thanksgiving dinner with my bestie and assorted mutual friends.

My outfit for when I visited the urologist from a rather trans-problematic health system.
I made many of the staff super uncomfortable, including the doctor.
But, I was cooperative, interested & engaged, relentlessly charming and good-natured, causing them to like me whether they wanted to or not!

Back in the day, I directed post-game recaps of SU sports for SportsChannel, and I also produced & directed the "Highlight" show that aired starting on Tuesdays. I'd spend my Sundays cutting each quarter down to 10-11 minutes, plus analysts reflecting on the game.

The bottom of a Transgender Pride flag, frayed, and torn, looking like it's moving slightly in a breeze, but there's a ridge of snow on it, showing that it's frozen. The background, which shows a small house and trees across the street in a city neighborhood, is in black & white with a slight ecru tone. I took this photo one afternoon in February 0f 2025 after hearing about the horrific month-long torture and murder of a young Black trans man from Minnesota, in a small town 30 miles from where I live. I was stunned, horrified and in anguish over the news about this man, so I went onto my porch to get some air and clear my head. Seeing my flag, frozen, and tattered, but still there, felt like an accurate reflection of everything I was feeling at the time, and, ultimately, a reminder to me that no matter how tough things get, we will always be here. I took this self-portrait in April of 2024. I was feeling a little "less than" because I was thinking about how transitioning at 55 had robbed me of any chance of looking and feeling sexy. So I put on this custom-made dress that has a white short-sleeved bodice & a black floor-length skirt adorned with a floral-looking white line pattern, that buttons from the high-necklne collar to the floor, and nothing else except my eyeglasses, a necklace, a pair of black & white dangly earrings, my watch and some makeup, unbuttoned 15 of the 16 buttons, leaving only the one at the waist, buttoned, and took some selfies with my camera at a low position, in my office. I positioned my upper body between the two windows behind me, both of which were streaming bright morning light into the room, giving my reddish blonde hair a fair bit of highlight. I crossed one leg over the other, exposing almost all of one leg while the other was draped in the open skirt, positioned my coffee cup (with the word "Queen" on it) high enough to give a glimpse of the bottom edge of my right breast peeking out from behind the white bodice, and triggered the camera from the app on my watch, which is why I'm looking downward in a seemingly demure fashion. Fuck a bunch of ageism.
