Time Wasting
I really enjoy religious music. I don’t always share its sentiment but I do love listening to it and what it seems to mean to the performers. Merry Christmas. Peace x

Enjoyed The BMX Bandits at Shine On. Now Ian McNabb playing a nice acoustic set before another Bellshill band, The Soup Dragons.

Unkle at Shine On last night. Masterclass. Absolutely at the top of their game. And nice to hear Ian Brown’s voice. Sample obviously.

We are at Shine On in Minehead. Jesus Jones were great yesterday. Then a very late Start for Greg Wilson who is probably the best DJ on the planet. So far today we’ve had DJ Yoda cutting up classics & film clips. Gary Clail shouting at us & Phil Hartnoll tearing the place up on a Saturday afternoon

This is how to do it. No insulting, no unnecessary hagiography.
Balanced reference to victims on both sides. No using a killing to further a persoinal political agenda. This guy should have been president and you know it.

This is very, very good. Also, Care reissues!!! How exciting. Get in line now.
Just added to the word pile: Field Music's Doors tribute band side hustle; the perceived value of music set against that of a flat white; the accusation that charging £100 for a Nick Drake box set is "social cleansing". Why it's all connected!

“How much?” he asked. “Eight quid,” I replied. He put it down and strolled off. At the nearby café stall, you could buy two flat whites for a tenner. | Pete Paphides

He’s not out of his depth at all. The function of modern political leadership is to service global elites while controlling and confusing citizens while simultaneously lowering their expectations. To that end he’s highly effective - just not for actual voters.
