My favorite Mbmbam joke was when someone mixed up the sitcoms Wings and Cheers and Justin did a version of the Cheers song that was "don't you want to go where everybody flies a plane", it was so quick and perfect. Anyway I havent been into mbmbam in like 10 years

I’m seeing posts from people (outside of MN) about how US citizens should carry their passports.

And let me say that *inside* MN, we are calmly responding to requests with: “No, I don’t have to show you any documentation.”

Because that’s how you protect everyone, regardless of immigration status.

Just got so high that I saw my own hand as a low poly model in the dark. Deeply embarrassing that this is not a joke.

His Dark Materials trilogy by Phillip Pullman, the Westmark trilogy by Lloyd Alexander, Animorphs by KA Applegate, the Moomintroll books by Tove Jansson, almost all of Stephen King's books even though I liked less than half of them. And of course, Lord of the Rings.
performative reading, lack of reading skills, nobody's reading anymore -- NO!

tell me about a book that changed you

for me? the *extremely* ahistorical novel, THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY which I read at 13 and was like, "Oh, art can be *everything* to a maker, for good and bad"

A jaguar was spotted in the San Rafael Valley — the same area where a border wall is going up. Tribal leaders call the jaguar sacred. Conservationists say the wall could cut off its last path north. https://azluminaria.org/2025/10/07/a-jaguar-a-wall-a-sacred-valley-whats-at-stake-in-san-rafael/
A jaguar, a wall, a sacred valley: What's at stake in San Rafael - AZ Luminaria
In late summer, a jaguar padded somewhere near the San Rafael Valley, a pristine grassland nestled between the Patagonia and Huachuca Mountains southeast of Tucson. Trail cameras monitored by Sky Island Alliance confirmed its presence in the “impact zone” of a new 27-mile border wall slated for construction in that high country grasslands.  For conservationists […]

The absolute funniest thing about gundam is that Bright has another gay 15 year old steal a gundam out from under his nose and he has no reaction to it

I would make a bad vampire because even though I do drain everyone I interact with of energy, if someone let me into their house and then said “actually I’m feeling uncomfortable with this” I’d simply exit their home and life forever

The whole 'Grok is a boer now' thing is very funny, but it also really exposes how every 'AI tool' isn't just passively biased from training data, but actively designed to shape your worldview according to the interests of the billionaires who made them.

Every time I start a new podcast and catch up to January 2020 I’m like let’s start bracing for impact! In the one I’m currently listening to, the host just said that he thought the year 2020 would be a 7/10 year!

I went to an event packed with 100s of companies looking to contract with border enforcement and the Trump administration as they ramp up detentions and deportations. The main event sponsor is running the Guantanamo Bay Migrant Operations Center — they handed out tote bags.

Here’s everything I saw.

I do sort of wish that my phone would stop showing me pictures of my dead cat but also I still like thinking about her. I wish that I wasn’t brought to it by google dot com. This is my heart and I’m eating it because it’s bitter and it’s mine.
