Right now I don’t even know how to process this, but I do know that all decent people have to stick together, support each other and fight back

Forgive me if I don’t get over excited about a tax cut.

It’s not even dementia. He genuinely doesn’t know what habeus corpus is. Most ignorant president in history.

I think the reason will be: you’re a deranged psychopath who doesn’t give one fuck about your fellow human beings and also you didn’t settle any wars.

They still haven’t got their story straight. Did Trump declassify the documents or were they planted?

Looking at the corpse of Republican libertarianism and unable to detect even a vague twitch of the nervous system.

They must think we are very, very stupid.

"We used to ring up our GP and get an appointment on the same day," says Kemi Badenoch. She does not add: we're all looking for the guy who did this!

"15 years ago, Polish workers came here to find opportunity. Now Poland is growing twice as fast as we are," says Kemi Badenoch.

Any ideas what may have happened in the interim?

'We have potholes that have been around for so long, people are holding birthday parties for them' seems a not especially good argument for the party that left office a year and three months ago!

As far as I can tell (not having wasted a second of life watching any of it for myself, you understand), Kemi Badenoch has spent most of her speech outlining all the many ways that Britain has declined after 14 years of Tory rule.

❓NHS waiting list in July 2024 when the Conservatives left power: 7.62 million.

Who's fault is it Kemi?

She seems to have devoted much of her speech to describing all the ways Britain has declined during the 14 years the Tories were in power

I’m sorry, but why did discussing transgender policy cause us not to build nuclear reactors? Does all building have to stop in the UK when transgender issues are under discussion?

Nope. Boxing in cars is not ‘terrorism’. Sorry.

I don’t think it’s going to be too very long before we are treated to the sight of a Democratic governor being arrested.

Ah yes. 15 years ago. And then the Tories came into government. An unfortunate choice of timescale.

Tbf I think you’re supposed to cook it first.

This performative public praying appears a VERY strange habit to the rest of the western world.

In Handsworth there are multiple African, Caribbean, Asian and, yes, white people living side by side. So what’s Jenrick on about when he says his ‘not enough white faces’ remark only meant that communities shouldn’t be cut off and isolated? Are all non-whites just one homogenous blob to him?

I had reservations about the Blair govt but at least there was a sense of optimism and some visible improvement to public services - but then they went and blew it all on the invasion of Iraq and that was it for another generation or two.

When was the last time anyone felt things were improving in this country? For me I think it was round about 2003 (and maybe for about a week in July last year). 23 years seems an awful long time for a country to be palpable decline.
