Our current health care system is not designed to provide quality care to all people.

It is designed to make huge profits for insurance & drug companies.

In that sense, the system is working very well.

But it is not working for the average American.

We need Medicare for All.

Can I be the first to go on record and say that if we end up losing a war to France and Germany over the Fanta Furher trying to invade Greenland, I won't be upset about it, but also be aware that this mess is just his attempt to give the media something shiny that is not his horrible cabinet picks.

Roadside Pileated Woodpecker. St. Joseph County, Michigan, USA. He was working on a Black Cherry tree, at the end you can see him swallowing insects. Likely Carpenter ants, as they like to overwinter in Cherry trees. Apologies for quality.

FYI, because of the effectiveness of blocking MAGA bots on BlueSky they changed the personality programming from confrontational MAGA jerks to cynical nihilistic "liberals".

@billbarnwell.com The lions defense went feom the achilles heel to the reason they won in a big hurry. Getting Anazalone back was major but losing Arnold is even more dangerous.

The combined net worth of America's twelve wealthiest people passed $2 trillion last year.

12 people. $2 trillion.

Meanwhile, U.S. homelessness increased 18% in 2024.

Our problem isn’t an issue of resources.

Our problem is ever-expanding wealth inequality.

Guys, there are 26 million users on here now and twitter is a hellscape. Yours is a thinking man's podcast, this is a thinking man's platform.

Kerby Joseph not making the pro bowl while being the best safety in the league this year highlights how ridiculous it is that fans are given votes. It's just a hype and popularity contest.

Letting fans vote won't boost ratings for the unwatchable pro bowl.

I expect Kerby to be 1st team all pro.

If you are planning on posting the Jan 6 videos or posterboards of Trump being a POS every day for 4 years, I get it, but I'm blocking you all the same. I don't need to see it every day.

I am eagerly waiting for the transition where people here don't post a bunch of shit from twitter. I thought this was going to be different. It's turning into 'look what the dumb shits on twitter said!' dunk competition.

At what point do Trump voters begin exchanging nervous glances and whispered concerns? "I didn't think he would invade Greenland! What the hell is he doing in Panama?! He said he was against war!"

It's like a big game of cultist chicken, who will break character first?

Democrats just rescued America from a disastrous government shutdown—blocking an outrageous MAGA effort to eliminate the debt ceiling and pass massive new tax cuts for the wealthy.

We stood strong—and we stand strong—for the American people.

I have to admit, I'm glad that the majority of NFL fans have come around to something I've known for quite a while: Aaron Rodgers is a jerk and severely overrated. I'm happy to cheer the piling on, I just want my dues for being ahead of the curve.

So if AOC had cancer we wouldn't want her appointed to leadership positions? Or we are just lumping in someone's health concerns when the real issue is the democratic party's refusal to move left?

Stick to the issues and miss me with the disingenuous concern trolling.

Everything is a conspiracy when you don't know how anything works.

The recent 'drone' stories where governors and newscasters confuse stars and planets for drones sent by aliens or china or whatever reminded me of this meme phrase I saw somewhere.

These people are embarassingly ignorant.

My wife does fun mushroom art stuff and trades pictures with people around the globe. She calls this lady Rosie and is working on perfecting her. All just for fun, though she sells stuff once in a blue moon. A relaxing hobby for her.

The one thing I wish every young person knew is that everything you're doing with family now (the holiday traditions, etc) there is going to be a last time you ever do it, and you won't know it's the last time when it happens. It will sneak up on you, and sooner than you think.
