A year ago, my time with @h-net-humanities.bsky.social came to an end. It was not pleasant. It was not the way I had planned (instead. the forces that guide H-Net 'threw me under the bus'). Alas ... in hindsight ... it turned out o.k. I had grown way beyond the skope of H-Asia 1/

Some good-byes (especially those forced by others) hurt. But … when a door falls shut, others open up. I am cleaning up and saying good-bye to mailing-lists and newsletters - most of them Asia/Asian Studies-related. And I am still flabbergasted by the realization that I do not miss #H-Asia. 1/

When a door closes ...
H-Net @h-net-humanities.bsky.social and especially H-Asia (networks.h-net.org/h-asia) had been part of my life for more than a decade. Things changed rapidly over a technicality and @jessedraperhnet.bsky.social (on behalf of H-Net Council) forced me out 1/

@h-net-humanities.bsky.social war jahr(zehnt)e Teil meines Alltags: H-Asia/editor, H-Net/diverse Funktionen.

Time to say good-bye ...
Jahre bzw.

For years, @h-net-humanities.bsky.social was part of my professional life.
This came to an abrupt halt - being forced out on a technicality.
I am sad, hurt, and disappointed.
And I am extremely frustrated about the lack of formal procedures to find a way to sort out problems.

O.K. Ich war/bin gut in dem, was ich tue (2 FWF Projekte, jahrzehnte Lehrerfahrung, aktive Beteiligung an Fachdiskussionen, "Service to the community [H-Asia]" @h-net-humanities.bsky.social (mit leider sehr negativem Ende nach X Jahren) und dann kommt plötzlich ein Erpresser, der glaubt, irgendwo 1/
