A suggestion for a practical process:

Every time any police officer/ICE agent/etc breaks the law or commits an act of brutality, etc., fire them, melt down their weapons, destroy their equipment, remove their job from their budget, and give the money to public library system.

Defund, one by one.

Shut down Broadview and any other IL ICE facilities

Enforce the TRUST act and go after and LEOs in violation of it

You have levers of power and it’s well past time to use them. They’ve already killed Illinoisans, and only more of us will be killed if nothing is done

Our ancestors were real breathing people who turned sticks into fire, their descendants spent thousands of years building a regime of unsurpassed global peace and prosperity, and we shall not entertain the suggestion that it all ends here just because the man with the golden toilet says so.

If you’re of the opinion that simply being frightened means you get to kill whoever you want, maybe shut up for the rest of your life

Or at least considering that civilians have a far greater claim to fear than heavily armed Gestapo agents
