Despite her “dumb blonde” persona, Marilyn Monroe was quite erudite. In 1999, I worked near Christie’s. At the time, it had a huge showcase of her belongings the public could view pre-auction. During my lunch break, I walked over there. I saw that Marilyn had a vast personal library. TONS of books.
