Renault's Filante Record 2025 travelled 1008 km on a single charge of 87 kWh, at an average speed of 102 km/h:

It relied on low weight (1000 kg of which 600kg is battery), ultra-low rolling resistance tires and reduced drag with just 1.19x1.71m frontal area.

Archer-class update! Meet the USS Reykjavík. #WIP

Still much to do because I want to give this ship a decent amount of detail, but I'm happy with the foundations.
The Archer-class USS Reykjavík, a Blender 2.5D model loosely in the Star Trek Animated Series style. This work-in-progress render has a little travel pod buddy! High angle rear view. I plan to recess and/or round the windows a bit, since they're so large in relation to the ship. I *may* also do something to suggest detail behind the windows, like simple interiors or texture trickery. But probably not. Low angle rear showing emblem and glowy impulse engines. I think I will give these a grille or sth. Again, more detail needed at this proximity. And look, I remembered to update the year on my sig! So smart. Underside. Two rear landing legs are supposed to come out of the tiny hatches at the back of the saucer. I'm not going to burn braincells trying to make that work. If this thing ever needs to land, I'll just shoot it from above. 😝

Further, her image is based on a possible depiction of a goddess with gold hair and yellow paint seen married to the sun under a cloak shaped like eagle wings and tail as seen here. She represents the time of the day when the moon is still visible during sunlight. Albert Pinot's painting, "bat woman" was an inspiration for the pose and atmosphere as well. Historical portrait illustration of the Maya queen, K'abel of the Waka kingdom in the late classic period. Here, she is shown inside a palace interior wearing a red huipil and red skirt based on a figurine depicting her found in a burial. The headdress, shield and face paint are also based on the same figurine. She also holds a baton of the lightning deity K'awiil, who was also a symbol of rulership. Illustration commission of a precolonial Powhatan village in Virginia. The scene shows three characters, a woman wearing a deer skin apron collecting oysters by the river behind some reeds. Walking behind the reeds is a man with wearing front and back deerskin aprons and carrying a bow and arrow. Behind them all is a village scene showing some men grilling some fish, a grandmother preparing something with her granddaughter observing and some women dancing. Scene from my sci-fi Mesoamerican comic, Dream Rider currently in production. The top shows a futuristic city inspired by the West Mexican shaft tomb cultures in preclassic Teuchitlan, Jalisco. The bottom shows a man arriving on a monocycle at the entrance of a bustling market.
