i was a reference for my former coworker/good friend after ten rounds of interviews w a company and after a year of searching for a job. haven’t heard from him about whether he got it & i’m so nervous that i could be a reason why he doesn’t get it 😭 it’s too much pressureeeee

can’t stand seeing comments ragging on a woman for “vocal fry”, especially as a linguist. the hate around it is so manufactured & performative. it’s this generation’s “i hate the word moist”. funny how no one piles on matthew mcconaughey for his? it’s really only women that get stigmatized for it.
