Pirating is sending the message that a thing is so vital that you cannot possibly survive without the thing. That you would resort to stealing just to have the thing. If the art was of poor quality for the price demanded, you would just stop engaging with it. You'd seek art elsewhere.

So #CofEpeeps is *anyone* happy with the HoB statement on LLF??? Gafcon is not happy. The Alliance is not happy. Anyone who wants progress towards justice for LGBTQ folk is really not happy. Presumably those hoping it would keep the peace are not happy, since it demonstrably isn't. So... anyone?!?

Most New 52 books I look back at and I’m like “Yeah, I was new, maybe these don’t hold up as well as I thought” but Morrison’s Action Comics is a book I’ve only come to appreciate more and more as the years go by.

I love how almost every English language adaptation (except Andrea Arnold’s) basically falls into the same problems of 1. Casting an overtly sexy white dude as Heathcliff (Elordi looks like he’s a Harlequin model) and 2. Romanticizes/eroticizes Heathcliff’s abusive behaviour because repression 🤷♂️.

I love how almost every English language adaptation (except Andrea Arnold’s) basically falls into the same problems of 1. Casting an overtly sexy white dude as Heathcliff (Elordi looks like he’s a Harlequin model) and 2. Romanticizes/eroticizes Heathcliff’s abusive behaviour because repression 🤷♂️.
