As someone with an extremely large and clingy 16-pound senior tomcat who wants constant cuddles, when I say, 'I like games I can play with one hand,' I mean this sadly in the least titillating way possible.
Since my current vehicle (a stately older gentlecar) has no idea what these newfangled mp3 things are, I've had to dig out my dusty CDs -- which has given me a chance to remember that I still have a fondness for Rob Zombie and My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult.

on the plus side, having a bad cold kick in this week means i can sleep pleasantly through the holiday, since i don't have travel needs.

While I'm the kind of person who willingly talks about what they're grateful for, I always feel compelled to make a FYI during this time of year that command-type phrasing like 'tell me why you're grateful' can be extremely stressful for folks who have had certain power dynamics used against them.

Realized that part of what I love about watching chill, relaxing #Valheim build videos is that it has that same Bob Ross energy: someone gently encouraging you to just 'play around and see what happens,' while meanwhile they effortlessly craft a breathtaking masterpiece out of two sticks and a rock.

I've been tracking the cost of some medical supplies via pharmacy (when not covered by insurance) vs. direct purchasing from suppliers, and in 2025 alone the pharmacy price has skyrocketed from $3.75 to $12.
For a year's supply, that's $41.60 (direct) vs $624 (pharmacy) just for the base items.

My aging monitor gave up the ghost rather spectacularly at last into a mess of vertical lines, so I grabbed a replacement and am now trying to get used to actual colors that don't have a full .5" white faded border around the edges, and that also don't need a VGA connector.

Thinking about FDR as a president who was a wheelchair user, and how much of an outcry there would be today claiming how 'woke' the gov was becoming for ensuring basic physical accessibility to places, and how much of a 'burden' it would be that it should preclude that person from office entirely.
