Implementing bans would mean ALL girls and young women could be subject to harassment and invasive "gender investigations." Just #LetKidsPlay

TOWN HALL: I’m headed to Washington County for a public town hall on 1/16 at 12:30 PM. Hearing from Oregonians about the challenges they face and the issues they care most about shapes my work in the Senate—I hope to see you there!

I am honored to be endorsed by Councilor John Dugger. “I’m proud to endorse Rachel for City Council. As a mom, NAC Leader and dedicated city volunteer—and yes, an everyday cyclist—she brings both lived experience and pragmatic problem-solving to her work.“

Today, my older kid was quiet for a bit and then said, “I’m team fire.”
“Like fire type Pokemon?”
“No, like I am against ICE.”

Kids get it. I hate that they have to learn about this, and I’m so proud he knows that this is not okay.

I really felt this today while I was on my bike today.
Today, I think I might have been able to do some good by talking IRL with some folks and connecting them with different ways to help our community (if you want to know more, come talk with me). It felt good to do something off the rage machine.
I've been on a bike ride and not checking the news, hence my ability to post things that don't destroy my mental ability to function at every second of the day.

The federal government wouldn’t need a cover up if nothing was wrong.

For months I have been saying that ICE is an out of control federal agency. Today an ICE agent shot and killed an unarmed woman in Minnesota. This is horrific and tragic. There must be a full investigation and the ICE agent must be held accountable in a court of law. 🧵

ICE killing a woman in Minneapolis this morning is unspeakable.

Now, the Trump Administration is blatantly lying about it, telling us not to believe our own eyes.

I will stand up to Trump’s lies. I’m demanding accountability and will fight to get ICE out of our communities.

ICE is recklessly dangerous and does not belong in our communities.
A US citizen has apparently been shot by ICE agents in Minneapolis. I’m gathering information, but the situation on the ground is volatile.

ICE should leave now for everyone’s safety.
