Universities are assembling larger and larger teams to deal with academic integrity issues--mostly focused on AI--while simultaneously holding AI "writing" contests, AI-themed events, "hey, come play with these fun tools!" The messages are so mixed, it's criminal. Because AI is bloated with money.

They tried to solve this to some extent with InCopy but back when I used that (pre-AI) it was kind of a nightmare to use

I want to be able to write a document directly into InDesign like you would in Word with stuff like commenting, track changes, robust spelling and grammar check, etc). It has been several years since I spent 40+ a week staring at InDesign but I get big enshittification vibes whenever I use it now
