Isn’t that only in the extra-special directors cut, where McClane dives after Gruber and they fight it out underwater? I’ve only seen that version once. “Didn’t even have to take off my shoes,” he says as he pulls himself onto the side of the pool. “But chlorine stings like a [censored].”

(I should say, they helped with some of the thousands of cost, and have offered to help again if he needs a high-cost procedure to solve his current inward-growing pointy-sharp eyelash issue.)

When my cat burst a spinal disc last year right after my mom (who was also my employer) died, I contemplated making a fundraising account for the many thousands of dollars (and that’s without surgery)…but it made the rescue who had adopted him out very uncomfortable. It’s a good rescue, so I didn’t.

I really *wanted* to love Grape Nuts. I remember pleading with my mom to boy a box — but my teeth! Please, what did I do wrong? I was, especially at that time, very opposed to anything perceived as “sogginess.” Did I not give them enough time to sit in the milk?

I mean, maybe their descendants self-erased because they eventually became Baptist, as our government didn’t say they couldn’t, and they made choices and didn’t think they needed to uphold some fantasy regarding their cultural identity.

I come from the very Scots-Irish colonials he seems to be referencing and, uh, I’m pretty sure no one is trying to erase Presbyterian church-going here.

I’m so offended when these [self-censored] mention the Scots-Irish. I mean, just about everything he says is offensive, but they keep mentioning my ancestry as if those people would have anything good to say about what these [self-censored] are trying to do.

My great grandfather’s first movie was A Dog of Flanders (likely the 1914 version) and he refused to ever go to another movie again.
