Let me make it clear I’m against Netflix acquiring Warner Bros Discovery. That would concentrate corporate power in ways that harm consumers and distort American politics. But Paramount’s acquisition of Warner Bros would be worse.

This entire article is positive about Trump Gold Cards. It contains positive quotes about it from Trump, Lutnick and a CEO. It contains no quotes from the many critics of the program. This is sandwiched between 6 posts about Erika Kirk. CBS is lost.

It should be bigger news that Leslie Wexner, the person most responsible for Jeffrey Epstein's wealth and entrée into circles of power, is currently ducking a subpoena in a case brought by victims of sexual assault by an Ohio State doctor which occurred while Wexner was on the OSU board of trustees.

The Epstein Files Transparency Act, which explicitly requires federal agencies to release Epstein-related material unless it’s classified or would directly endanger victims. The law now overrides the usual secrecy protections, and the Epstein case doesn’t get a special carve-out anymore.

Notice the pattern: help a narrow group loudly, hurt everyone else quietly. Tariffs help a few steel workers but raise prices for every firm using steel. Tax cuts favor the rich while squeezing social programs. Politically noisy wins, economically costly losses.

A quarter-point Fed cut sounds big, but for most people it's modest. On a car loan or mortgage, your monthly payment nudges down, not collapses. Markets care more because it hints at the Fed's path—today’s move says “gentle easing,” not “emergency rescue.”

Sean Hecker, Kilmar's attorney, once hailed how much courage it took Kilmar to challenge what DOJ/DHS is doing to him. That stuck with me. Kilmar Abrego is just some guy, vulnerable in a way most of us are not.

But he has taken on Trump and ... thus far at least, prevailed.
"Today’s ruling is a powerful affirmation that the rule of law still matters," Sandoval-Moshenberg said. "The Court made … clear that the govt cannot detain a person indefinitely without legal authority, and that every agency involved must now comply fully and promptly with the Court’s directives."
Kilmar Abrego Garcia is released from ICE custody following judge's order
Judge Paula Xinis of the U.S. District Court in Maryland ruled that the Trump administration lacked the legal authority to continue holding Abrego.

The notes from this fast food murder meeting just dropped.

They had gathered crates of chloroform and rags to knock out their political opponents.

Yes, they saw a bunch of Hollywood action movies, said "heck yeah" and didn't think to Google "is that a real thing?"

(It's not.)
The perfect example of the mundanity of the fascism we face is that the top secret meeting of top generals and army officials to plan the martial law and assassinations in the failed Korean coup this month took place in a booth at Lotteria.
