For me I've fallen off of fighting games because I just kind of hate learning an entirely new combat system every time, getting proficient with it and then dropping it for the next thing. It's just hard to be excited about the game when I know that's going to happen.

I 100% respect your feelings that it doesn't NEED to be done, I actually agree with you up to here, but I wouldn't give a shit if they did. My only issue with you is you trying to take options away from people. It's like if you didn't enjoy strawberry ice cream, you think it just shouldn't exist.

More modern sure but not modern, it's still 14 years old. You are only against this because of your own personal ideology and not because of any real tangible effects it would have on the world. You just don't like the idea. Again, the original game is not going anywhere.

The visual art is what it is because of the technical limitations of the time. Making it look nicer and more modern does absolutely nothing to the actual art of the game, being the story and gameplay. Like you said, it's not a hard game to get a hold of, it's not going anywhere.
