I’m not against cars. I own one.

But we need to make it much, much easier, pleasant, and safer to walk, bike, or take transit than it is to drive somewhere by myself in an empty car.

And there’s no way to do that without making some drivers angry.

Thankfully, more and more drivers understand.

Some things that Bloomington, Indiana is doing right!
1) Lots of “No turn on red” signs in pedestrian areas
2) Closing streets off to cars and allowing restaurants to use that outdoor space
3) converting unused train tracks into rail trails in the middle of the city
4) Lots of little pocket parks

Yay, Superman!
In 1949, Superman told schoolchildren “our country is made up of Americans of MANY different races, religions and national origins. So…

“…if YOU hear anybody talk against anyone else because of his religion, race or national origin — don’t wait: tell him THAT KIND OF TALK IS UN-AMERICAN.”

TALK ABOUT SUDAN!!
"More than 1,500 civilians may have been massacred during an attack on Sudan’s largest displacement camp in April, in what would be the second-biggest war crime of the country’s catastrophic conflict."

There are so many things to be mad at right now, but for some reason I'm especially enraged by the fact that there are places in the USA now where a cop wearing a face mask to illegally protect his identity can arrest YOU for wearing a face mask to protect your health

Just sayin', as someone who grew up Catholic: if you can call the new pope by his chosen name instead of the name he was assigned at birth, you can do the same for the trans folks in your life. It's a sign of respect in both cases.

Bill Gates is one billionaire I can admire for giving away his health to help humanity. He may not be perfect but he is trying to affect positive change!

92 years ago today, the Nazis raided the Magnus Hirschfeld Institute for Sexuality, where the first study of trans people was conducted, and burned all of its contents.

Fitting that today is also the day SCOTUS greenlights the project of the eradication of trans people from society in the US.
