I turn latin poetry into long lists of floating point numbers. For (and only for) the purpose of potential employment I have a couple of phds or whatever.
I can forgive someone putting Ovid as first choice, but putting Horace ahead of Catullus?? I would just flunk them for poor taste. ;)

I have a boiler chicken instead of duck, but, reading around, the key thing is a really rich stock, so I have high hopes. I'll get it in the slow cooker tonight, when I put the baguette dough in the fridge to ripen 😜

OK, two stocks simmering away. I have beef neckbones in one, for french onion soup, and the carcass of a boiler chicken with extra chicken feet and a pig trotter in the other, which will be the base for a Proper cassoulet.
Time to turn on the cricket.
