Disruption is all they seem to understand—so that’s exactly what they’re getting. For 14 hours, @booker.senate.gov has been on the Senate floor, speaking truth within the rules. This cannot be business as usual when our democracy’s on the line. Thank you, senator.

Cory and friends are holding the line. Bravo.
Cory Booker has been holding the Senate floor for *15 hours* to call out Trump’s harm to Americans.

More of this energy from every Democrat please.

“If the president was free to ignore Congress, there would be no point in having a Congress. There would be no reason for Hawley to have a job, yet he is cheerleading for his own impotence as he abandons Missourians.”
We need our senators to choose Missouri over MAGA in Trump’s war on the Constitution • Missouri Independent
Trump won big in our state, but that does not relieve Hawley and Schmitt of their obligation to defend what is owed to Missourians.

Less than a month since a crash that took 67 lives, Trump is firing hundreds of federal employees who inspect and maintain air traffic control communications, radio and computer systems.

This is extremely dangerous and could have deadly consequences.

The biggest story in the country right now is how many lawsuits DOJ is losing trying to defend Musk and Trump. I've never seen so many courts, so clearly outraged at the federal government. The latest one, blocks cuts at HHS and FDA.

Paul Martin, the inspector general for the USAID, has been fired after resisting the administration. Just a day ago, his office released a report warning that staff reductions and spending freezes put hundreds of millions in taxpayer dollars at risk of misuse and waste. This is the way.

Think firing the entire federal workforce will save America money?

Federal civilian employees account for just 4% of the federal budget. Even if someone like Musk—or any president—fired all of us, it wouldn’t make much of a dent in government spending. Don’t fall for it.

The Teamsters have endorsed Democrats for president since '96. And despite the Dems saving pensions and retirement benefits for 2 million Americans, the Teamsters didn't endorse a candidate this cycle. Now, within a week of taking office, Trump gutted the NLRB. Is this what Sean O'Brien had in mind?

Trump just justified his pardon of violent Jan. 6 rioters by pointing to Portland, saying “nothing happened to anybody” after riots there.

That’s not true. Many people got prosecuted. Some got multi-year prison terms. One is set to be in prison until 2031.
