Saw a post on Facebook earlier today (so it must be true 😄) with a handwritten note from Bette Davis to Kim Carnes congratulating her for the success of the song “Bette Davis Eyes”

First TNF game I’ve seen in awhile. Al Michaels is still very good at what he does. Kirk Herbstreit is not at Al’s level and reminds me of an analyst on the No.5 team at Fox doing Saints v. Panthers for 8% of the country.

He was insufferable the last decade or so of his career but there’s a good argument McCarver deserves recognition in the HOF. His work in the 80s-90s was very good and he was one of the first ex-players (other than Kubek) to consider himself an “analyst” in the broadcast booth.

When 90s albums get reissued, instead of deluxe expanded editions they should do versions cut down to a nice tight 40 minutes or so

These days it seems like The Beatles’ greatest legacy was the “Paul is dead” hoax.

As a Dodgers fan I saw this as some sort of weird payback to what Baltimore did to LA

Was at a new bookstore at the mall today and got sealed copies of these 2 LPs for $25. I only knew G.E. Smith from SNL but this album was an enjoyable slice of 1981 power pop. They also had a bunch of sealed laserdiscs for $5 each. I may pull out my old pioneer and scoop up some discs next time.
