We had a beautiful encounter with a nursery pod of Risso's Dolphins off Levenwick and Clumlie here in Shetland last week.
Check out some of those tiny calves - some are only a few days old at most!

This is “Old Thom”, a male North Atlantic Killer Whale with an unusual story. It appears that Old Thom was separated from his pod when young, and was adopted by a large pod of White-sided Dolphins. This photo was taken in the Bay of Fundy off Nova Scotia. #oldthom #killerwhale #whale #novascotia
