The idea is to build a social network entirely out of replaceable parts, and the web. No silos, no centralization. Just the web.

But you're running inside of Atproto, so if we work toward the same goal, we can set up a very nice connect between the web an whatever Bluesky's world will look like.

Someone should probably inform the White House's "AI & Crypto Czar" that no one is forcing AI companies to train their models on Wikipedia
Tweet by David Sacks: "Wikipedia is hopelessly biased. An army of left-wing activists maintain the bios and fight reasonable corrections. Magnifying the problem, Wikipedia often appears first in Google search results, and now it’s a trusted source for AI model training. This is a huge problem."

Let's be clear a what's happening here: the "censorship" and "bias" narrative is being extended to Wikipedia bc the far right knows that getting bullshit into LLMs is how to shape reality as "answer engines" replace search engines.

Wikipedia is core to that fight so the grievance blitz is here.

Because Wikipedia is one of the few info sources that extremists can’t control (it relies on cited & fact-checked material), they naturally want to shut it down. It’s long been a goal of the Project 2025 authoritarians. Also, many of the blacklisted “sources” are blatant propaganda. Sputnik News? 🙄
