whole lot of ICE pricks just saw that they can murder someone and not only not be arrested, but the president will call them a hero who saved the day. they even have a blueprint for how to shoot people they want to. extremely bad precedent

Status quo is, in fact, an answer. Fucking cowards.

Details remain unclear: on the one hand, there's a video showing thugs murdering a woman in cold blood. On the other hand, the New York Times is a propaganda arm of the fascist state.
ICE officers in Minneapolis shot and killed a woman in a car, but details of the shooting remained unclear, with conflicting accounts from local and federal officials. The shooting took place about a mile from where George Floyd was killed by police in 2020. Follow updates.
Live Updates: Minneapolis Mayor Disputes Federal Account of Fatal ICE Shooting
Immigration officers opened fire on a 37-year-old woman in a car, who a federal spokeswoman said was trying to kill them. City officials disputed that account, describing the shooting as an overreaction.

Following tradition for new year reflections, I watched 260 films in 2025, 72 from 2025 (or at least first available to me in 2025). Some missing that I didn't get to but alas, time. A really great year for movies, I reckon.

First #LetterboxdFriday of 2026! #LastFourWatched #filmsky #moviesky

I didn't quite meet my goal of the films I wanted to see last year but that just means I have a full roster to catch up in these first two weeks of the new year!

Getting into the holiday spirit with some rewatches and some new to me fare. Disappointed in Babygirl but Remember the Night was charming. We have 16 movies on the watch-before-the-end-of-the-year list so it's gonna be an exciting week ahead :)

Happy #letterboxdFriday for those who celebrate! My #lastFourWatched includes my new #1 movie of the year (Sentimental Value), my fav millennial nostalgia Christmas movie, one of the last new-to-me PTA films (which i loved), and a Rian Johnson rewatch. #filmsky #moviesky #goToTheCinema

The Muppet Christmas Carol, Home Alone, Die Hard, and White Christmas are annual rewatches (what can I say, I'm a millennial)

Fav first watches of new-to-me Christmas movies this year so far are Christmas in Connecticut and Eyes Wide Shut
What holiday movie do you rewatch every year? 🎄

Happy #LetterboxdFriday! My #lastFourWatched - The Secret Agent skyrocketed into my top 10 list for the year (the sound design especially notable), I continue to nostalgia-watch Muppet Christmas Carol every year and I finally close out my Kubrick canon. Plus a great B&W thriller from the 40s

Happy #LetterboxdFriday indeed! My #LastFourWatched bounced from classic noir to new release and back again. The dialogue in noir film from the 1950s speaks to me and I love the richness in contrast of a good black and white film. #filmsky #moviesky #moviesarecool

Musings. I saw Hamnet today. Jessie Buckley's performance deserves all of the buzz it's getting and man, Chloe Zhao knows how to beautifully put together a scene. But I find myself frustrated with films flashing back to things as though I wouldn't remember. It just happened! I as a viewer am (1/2)

I love going to see movies in the theater. Saw Wake Up Dead Man today (really enjoyed it!) but especially seeing it surrounded by other people, reacting to the humor and surprises. A very human experience.

Clue in the theater was great, but I wish I could have picked the ending I got. Angel's Egg is one I hadn't seen before and I'm still thinking about it. Wicked: For Good was a satisfying ending though I still think it could have been one movie

Children of the Corn might be the worst movie I've ever seen. Death Becomes Her definitely shows its age but my childhood memories remain fond. And A Separation is a masterpiece I'm going to be thinking about for weeks

A triumphant return. Finishing up the Hunger Games series & loving it. One Battle After Another is in my top 10 of the year. My October spooky movie series is off to a disappointing start. And Fallen Angels is great but no In the Mood for Love

After missing last week (only watched one movie because Silksong), I'm back on my bullshit. I'm loving the Hunger Games movies (only saw the first one the first time around). I don't know how I feel about Suspiria (2018), still. Relay was fun.

I decided I need more hobbies so I've started watercolor and specifically sketching and painting birds. This was my first attempt at a ruby throated hummingbird.

Doing something creative is its own reward, I think.

Picked up our James Bond series watch again with a better movie than I was expecting. Quite enjoyed Caught Stealing in the theater, but the real star this week was Pride (2014). A feel good historical comedy was just what I needed

It is crazy to think that this time tomorrow, I'm finally going to be playing Silksong! So excited!!!
