I am not a fan of the writing in the Arkham games, but damn... Interfacing with Batman's traversal, his gadgets, the game's visual language, and the familiarity I have with the maps are such a core piece of how I think about and see Gotham City in my own art.

When I first sketched this idea, I'd had the Doom Patrol staring off at some strange, fantastical thing before them, only I hadn't gotten as far as what specifically they were looking at... Then I had the thought "What if me not coming up with anything was the joke?" in a meta sort of way...

I had a lot of fun working on this piece! I wanted to pay homage to the classic Suicide Squad #1 cover, while bringing something completely new, from sharp, uneven bordering, creases and textures, to drop-shadows under each layer, this collage-style graphic was so rewarding as an artist

Found a really fun WIP in my drafts from probably 2 years back! :-) Really fun concept, accidentally cornered myself into drawing super detailed vegetation! Uh-oh! Have a bit of time this morning, I'll put a little time in and see if I can move it closer to the end zone.
