my old amazon fire tv remote died and it was cheaper to just upgrade to a new fire stick. when i did, the clean, crisp, easy to use ui was replaced with a terrible, hard to use one that is literally 75% taken up by autoplay ads and trailers
One time someone on twitter made fun of me for hating ads, specifically that I hate that my television displays ads to me before I even select a service I want to use. Like, genuinely, we need to show young people the old ways of being a pretentious snob.

It's interesting seeing how every single time Nintendo releases new hardware people breathlessly proclaim that Nintendo is doomed for some reason or another and yet Nintendo, still in business after 136 years, continues to show no real outward sign of being doomed.

Absolutely. Correct. The CEO attending Chumps inauguration proves that the deal is already done and Elonia has his claws into TikTok now. The masses think they will save them. But it was a cookbook all along. Reference.
There is a reason TikTok is so good at figuring out what you want to see, and why it’s better than everything else: it’s a weapon, and the best weapon is one you don’t know exists, or worse, one you think you can’t live without
