This. But for everything
Harvard correctly understands that it’s in a fight for its life and there is no appeasement that will save it. I wish a lot more institutions understood this.
Harvard was able to file a 72 page complaint less than 24 hours after Trump attacked foreign students. Guess they were expecting it

In Missouri, Ozark County’s sheriff happily negotiated a contract with ICE to transport and temporarily hold detainees. He says it will bring needed revenue.

Up the curvy road, at a different jail, one man’s suicide shows the complexity of immigrant detention.
Rural Missouri Jails Want ICE Contracts. An Immigrant’s Death Shows the Risks.
As cash-strapped jails rush in for ICE contracts, one man’s death shows the complexity and risk of detaining immigrants.

If a foreign adversary snuck into our Federal budget and cut science research and education the way we’re cutting it ourselves — strategically undermining America’s long-term health, wealth, and security — we would likely consider it an act of war.

I was told I was overreacting about habeas corpus.
Breaking:

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem says she supports the Trump admin suspending habeas corpus.

Habeas corpus refers to people's right to challenge their detention in court.

It’s incredible that the President of the United States is openly flirting with suspending Habeas Corpus, disappearing people left and right, arresting judges and politicians, accepting ludicrous bribes from foreign countries, and people are still trying to normalize this shit.

The US used to have free to low tuition until schools couldn't discriminate based on race
Countries with free tuition: Germany, France, Denmark, Czech Rep, Sweden, Uruguay, Turkey, Taiwan, Iceland, Austria, Finland, Greece, Egypt, India, Norway, Brazil, Argentina, Kenya, Luxemb., Slovenia, Mexico.

Something about the next generation being the future of the country, I guess.
I was a first-gen, working-class Black student who took on student loans to get here.

This GOP budget would've slammed that door shut on me—and now it will for future generations.

We should be expanding access to college, not widening the achievement and racial wealth gap.
