That question was such a disingenuous Joan Callamezzo style gotcha. Gross. I would say that the mayor should have been asked if he’s *always* been fair to the council, but it would have just been followed up with a “hard decisions” answer.

We have *residency* requirements for anyone running for elected office. It’s not merely enough to own property in a district, you must actually *reside* in that district. Some things need to be non-ideological, and only supporting candidates who actually live in their district must be one of them.

I once had a student explicitly argue that he was the customer to be catered to.

I explained that, if we *had* to use the customer framing, he wasn't the customer but the product. He was being given an education & then a degree that future employers would see value in.

My job? Quality control.

Two days in a row we’ve had mass shootings involving people using weapons of war to inflict violence and pain on our community. It doesn’t have to be with this way. We don’t have to live in a society that allows people to own weapons like this.

Don't kill house centipedes

House centipedes are known for killing pests in your house that are completely unwelcome. They kill roaches, moths, flies, silverfish and termites, to name a few. They don't create any type of nests or webs, nor do they eat wood. They rarely bite and they don't carry fatal diseases. House centipedes just want to go after the bugs.

No matter what the DFL tries to say, remember that this happened. Multiple progressive campaigns spent months organizing and beat Frey so bad he staged a failed walk out and subsequently had to manipulate the state party into overturning the clear result. This can happen again in November.
