Again, why would they back a non-member at all? If ND wants conference support, join a conference. If they want to maintain independence, don't expect conferences to support you. This isn't as hard as ND fans are making it.

ND football is not an ACC team. I don't see what the issue is here. I'd hope my conference is advocating for conference teams, not independent teams.

Don't you think they should have? ND football is not an ACC team. The ACC should promote full conference members over ND's independent football team.
