Don’t let the media & politicians lie to you.
I count 10 cities in 2025 that are on track to have the fewest murders since at least 1970. Newark is on pace to have the fewest murders since 1956 (though only have data through Oct this year) and San Francisco is on pace to have the fewest murders since 1942.

It’s #Festivus, and we’ve got a lot of problems with the politicians driving mass incarceration & criminalization – and they’re gonna hear about it.

Just as bad as everyone said it was/is. Absolute disgrace among anyone who stands by this administration or people.

No wonder they wanted it removed- it shows the absolute hate these folks have for anyone non-white.

Over $200 on propane refills this week alone along with some cold weather items dropped off. Fridge was also restocked several times with food & narcan in the pantry. linktr.ee/frederickcom...

Bari, we ain’t watching this shit. Also, I don’t have conversations with bigots, misogynists, etc.
CNN has a show with a similar line. That the problem with this country is we just aren’t talking to each other.

It’s the kind of diagnosis that a toddler would land on.

The moral rot of the folks who did this is deep. May their sleep be haunted & their days be dark with the guilt of this suffering.
NEW: Without USAID funding to help buy food for refugees, the World Food Program rushed to prioritize families based on need, determining that only half the population would get food.

Refugees learned which half they were in from a number stamped on the back of their ration card.

Exactly. If people use drugs, they are still entitled to food, housing, etc.

We should offer them safe solutions for taking drugs like narcan, clean pipes & syringe programs.
The lesson we should take when powerful people use drugs is that lots of people use drugs, and those people deserve housing, healthcare and dignity.

The news cycle is bleak, disgusting & dangerous. However, the real story is the people who are the most vulnerable & their continuous struggle to just stay alive.

Doing what you can do in your own backyard will have a tremendous impact in combating the authoritarian regime & evil people.

Really useful analysis of data to show how many people are going to ICE detention from local jails. These arrests are less visible to the public - as compared to raids or street arrests -- so we don't see the full scope.
From @prisonpolicy.org: New analysis of government data from ICE via the Deportation Data Project shows federal agents reliant on local jails and police to reach their arrest numbers.

I’m so happy that Garcia will finally be home. Additionally, this should be a reminder to all of us that we could be put in the same situation.
This is really incredible. The government's battle to deport Abrego Garcia has apparently been based on a lie from the start. Not even the "gang affiliation" lie or the "human smuggling" lie, but the more basic assertion that he was ordered to be deported in the first place.
🚨Judge Xinis finds that, incredibly, Mr. Abrego Garcia was never ordered deported in 2019. She notes that every since this saga began all the way back in March, the government has NEVER been able to produce any evidence that the immigration judge actually issued a removal order.

Absolutely. The CEOs & other white, rich men who have pushed this slop every day will be first in line for 60 minutes.
When this "AI" bubble pops, the men pretending they weren't pushing the hype, like "critics" whose position is "AGI is real but LLMs aren't the way," who were in eugenicist and "AI existential risk"🙄 circles, will get specials discussing what they saw coming, when its the women who told you so.

Trump's farmer bailout will primarily go to massive row-crop farmers. Big Ag as they say. Smaller and diversified farms are getting something else - it rhymes with shackjit.
Trump is going to dump tens of $ billions in payments for huge commodity farmers to compensate for huge losses they will suffer from his idiotic trade war. Meanwhile, small farmers growing for local markets will get nothing. Just canceled grants and "thoughts and prayers". wapo.st/3YXdAbU
