Factcheck: FALSE.
Everyone knows trump can't read.
Trump: "I read a story that I was unhappy with Pete because he was attacking drug dealers. I said that's not exactly right, I would say very much the opposite. Pete Hegseth has been phenomenal. I read a story that I'm unhappy with Kristi. I'm so happy with her."

Renaming individual teams to get rid of the racism? 👎🏽

Renaming the entire sport on the whim of a dementia addled loser? 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Why did this take 2 years??

Will the media hound Tisch to disavow her brother's comments? I think we know they'd never drop it if someone connected to Mamdani had made an equivalent statement about a Jewish official.

Did I read that right? They arrested a Man for the pipe bombing, not a certain (retiring) congress critter from Georgia? 🤔

We just have to assume Jeffries has also accepted $$$ from lobbyists, unless proven otherwise. Only reason he'd say those charges are "thin."
No floor, all kneeling
Jeffries claims the charges against Cueller were "very thin" and says Trump's pardon was "exactly the right outcome"

Hegseth now saying he had better things to do than stick around and watch that boat strike to its conclusion?! We know the "commander in chief" is checked out, but shouldn't the Manly Man Head Honcho War Fighter put off having that beer until the murdering is over?

Ah yes, the culture that we are known for, that famously is not at all influenced by communities that came here from elsewhere 🙄🙄🙄
Rep. Kat Cammarck: "Today, one in six people in the US is foreign born. That quite frankly is not sustainable to maintain a culture that we are known for here in the United States."
December 2, 2025 at 5:19 PM
There's also a wonderful and extensive exhibition of Mel Edwards sculptures at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris. What U.S. based cultural institution would have both the courage and the resources to present work like this now?
According to the American Alliance of Museums, one-third of museums in the US have lost federal funding since Trump took office. Within this climate of erasure at home, four exhibitions of Black American artists in Europe take on even sharper resonance.
As the US Slides Into Tyranny, Europe Champions Black American Artists
It’s a striking contradiction: Four Black American artists get major shows in Europe while the American institutional capacity and constitutional protections collapse in tandem.

Fresh back from a taxpayer-funded trip to Israel and Uzbekistan, Mayor Adams already has plans to visit New Orleans next week to get an award for “his leadership in fighting antisemitism" by a group that honored him for the same thing in Tel Aviv last week.

Ketchup will be hitting the wall today 😂
A federal judge has dismissed the indictments against NY state Attorney General Letitia James and former FBI director James Comey, ruling that Lindsey Halligan – who brought both of the indictments – was improperly appointed.

Here's the order dismissing the James case without prejudice:
#140 in United States v. James (E.D. Va., 2:25-cr-00122) – CourtListener.com
ORDER AND ADJUDGED as follows: (1) The appointment of Ms. Halligan as Interim U.S. Attorney violated 28 U.S.C. § 546 and the Appointments Clause of the U.S. Constitution. (2) All actions flowing from ...

Real "and yet you participate in society" type question 🤨
Q: Why did you fly here? Aren't trains greener?

MAMDANI: I will use every form of transit and I want to make sure they are all affordable in NYC

TRUMP: That's a lot quicker too, in all fairness. I'll stick up for you.

By these standards, there is no such thing as the American people. This land should be turned over to native peoples, who would surely do a better job of governing us than the bunch of fascists in charge now.
1. Ultra-nationalist minister Itamar Ben Gvir posts this just as Israel is reportedly pushing Trump to sell F-35s to Saudi Arabia only on the condition that Saudi Arabia normalize relations with Israel.

"Golden age of Law Enforcement" but don't you dare call them fascists or authoritarian. 🙄
ICE Deputy Director Madison Sheahan: "We are ushering in the golden age of law enforcement in this country right now thanks to President Trump and the leadership from Secretary Noem"

Hunted? Were they chased through their workplaces by masked men? Were they dragged out of their homes and cars in front of their children, never to be seen again?
Ed Martin: "What this pardon does is help rescue the people who were hunted. The Biden administration hunted the alternate electors who were participating in our constitutional process in 2020 ... they were Trump supporters who believed in the Constitution."

Well of course we are 🤦🏽‍♀
This trip comes as Adams has for weeks openly talked about potentially taking a job related to something international once he leaves City Hall at the end of the year.

As with his trip to Albania last month, NYC taxpayers are footing the bill for his Israel visit.

Simidor's archive as well as a large selection of books from his collection have found a home at the Haitian Studies Institute. I'm so happy that scholars and community members will have access to this material!
Love to see this next week at @brooklyncollege.bsky.social, inaugurating the Daniel Simidor Reading Room at CUNY's #Haitian Studies Institute.

Daniel was an amazing librarian & activist, who I learned so much from. The panels look great. 🙏 💙@rejinl.bsky.social!

Why does WNYC like to describe Mayor-elect Mamdani as a "self described Democratic Socialist?" Does being a member of DSA not make him an *actual* Democratic Socialist? Are they just trying to make him sound less legit?

An immigrant in Gracie Mansion would be excellent symbolism.
Mamdani won't say whether he plans to live in Gracie Mansion as mayor: "I don’t yet have an answer on where I’m going to be living, but I can tell you where I'm going to be working and that’s City Hall."

He has previously alluded to planning to move into Gracie if elected.
