When I contemplate what happened between Trump and Mamdani, I am reminded that Trump is a wannabe bully and those bullies always back down when confronted in person by those they are bullying.

I was a registered Republican for many years. While I did not agree with every position, the leading legislators were strong, principled, and resolute in their beliefs. But now, with the fealty and capitulation of every single legislator to the MAGA agenda, the Republican party is no more.

Approximately 36% of eligible voters failed to cast their ballot in the 2024 presidential election. A key strategy for Democrats will be helping those people who are unhappy with the current situation to understand that they need to get out and vote.
