James: His critics said that he should wait his turn. His critics said that he did not have the experience. His critics said they did not have the right name. Well, now all of them know his god damn name.

In the words of Nelson Mandela: it always seems impossible until it’s done.

My friends, it is done. And you are the ones who did it.

I am honored to be your Democratic nominee for the Mayor of New York City.

Tonight, I'll go home and sleep in my bed. I have a lawyer, I'll get due process.

But Edgardo, whose arm was ripped from mine by ICE agents, has none of those things.

That's why I'll keep coming back to court, week after week, to make sure that people's rights are protected.

Today they have crossed a deep red line.

We, the people, must hold the president and his appointees accountable for this outrageous abuse against American liberty.

My daughter’s speech therapist went out of business because Medicaid reimbursement rates were too low. We do not have Medicaid. I’m going to keep posting this until people understand that when Medicaid gets cut *everyone* loses services.

Kennedy also said that “autism destroys families.” But it’s not autism that ruins families. It is a lack of quality services, a lack of respite, a lack of resources, a lack of understanding. It is not knowing what is going to happen to your child after you die.

Essay: What comes after RFK Jr. labels his cause for autism? – Matter News
The Health and Human Services Director has long linked autism with vaccines despite numerous studies to the contrary. Let’s say he eventually manufactures his connection. What then?

My son depends on Medicaid which has provided him with his roll-in shower, wheelchair, and therapies we just could not afford on our own.

We’re focused on his quality of life.
MAGA GOP are focused on destroying it.

We’re not alone.

Save Medicaid!

Yes a shutdown would have consequences.

And a Republican President, Republican House, and Republican Senate would be responsible.

They have acted in a unilateral and unprecedented way.

Democrats cannot cave. They must fight back.

If you wanted to cut waste, fraud, and abuse, you would empower the inspectors general.

If you wanted more waste, fraud, and abuse, you would fire them.

Not gonna lie:

I’m crying a bit as the motorcycle and bike cops in Austin are stopping traffic to let the protesters through as they peacefully take to marching in the streets.

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.

Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO

If you are a federal worker being offered a buyout, I would advise against taking it.

Of course, this is a personal decision for everyone and it’s your choice.

But these offers are a rush job. The legality is questionable and this admin does not keep to its word.

They aren’t firing for a reason.

Yes, this administration is dangerous and cruel, but they are also shockingly dim and incompetent.

Opportunities are everywhere.

Make everything as hard as possible. Resist every demand. Refuse entry without a warrant. Don’t take the buyout. Their problem solving skills are 📉

A must-read. This’d be worth creating a Facebook account just to read—and I know what a claim that is to make.

It’s a bracing essay about Elon Musk by someone very close to him.

(This is very much _not_ about me, of course, but I’ll say that if you ever doubted my writing on Musk, this will help.)

I have known Elon Musk at a deep level for 14 years, well before he was a household name. We used to text frequently. He would come to my birthday party and invite me to his parties. He would tell me....
