In May of 1916, my grandfather was serving in France, evacuating the dead & wounded off the strip of land between trenches. He sent this postcard to my grandmother. It reads: "Just a card to let you know I am still in the land of the living, your husband Frank."

I looked up what a group of Blue Jays is called, which is a "party" or "band." So here is a party of Blue Jays. (They do seem to like partying it up and causing a ruckus. I could see "a ruckus of Blue Jays" as a group name working too.)
