Except that it first did not work as I hoped.

@bingyingchen.bsky.social then did the math (mirror matrices) and figured out how to make it work.

Always good to surround yourself with smart people.

It is similar to a K-mirror rotator:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K-Mirro...

But mirror 1 and 3 are galvos.

The math turned out to be a bit more spicy than initially thought.

We initially built a three angle (-60, 0, 60 deg) version for proper SIM.

The two angle version (+-45 deg) is a bit simpler.

I think Kaspar Podgorski had a two photon line that was rotated to get a 2D image faster for functional image.

Our galvo rotator technology cannot do too many angular increments though.

-OPM + SIM

-Other applications (explored by colleagues): line scan with structured illumination and rolling shutter readout

Physical rotator needed for angular diversity

That is awesome!

At least some upsides from Teams 😃.

Yeah, anyone who has ever worked with cell culture, incubators or a fumehood knows that you cannot keep things 100% sterile.

Where humans are, there are bugs.

Prior to the interview, the caption read: “increase brian power!”

The CBS copy editor could have used some more brian too.

I am better off by not watching such clips.

I have accepted that there is a parallel universe where this somehow is rationalized and makes sense.

@henriqueslab.bsky.social Maybe also SRRF compatible.

The lite brite has a not so random blinking mode, it is kinda cool in the dark.

Thanks for the suggestion.

What brought up Jesse Watters (?) in this context? I do not watch Fox news.

Well, some say the PI is a bit annoying…😇😀

I would actually be really interested how good the performance (Strehl ratio, field curvature) is for the Nikon High NA 40X objectives.

For OPM use, they seem a great choice on paper.

U.S. news may not be explicitly structured that way, but for world news, they are often spotty at best.

You need to read foreign newspaper to stay informed what is happening in the world.
