Millions of Americans remain at jobs they hate for one reason: the health insurance they receive. That’s absurd.

Universal health care will give Americans the freedom to choose the work they want without worrying about health care coverage.

Another reason for Medicare for All.

It almost doesn’t need to be said that Christians forget Joseph in the Christmas story. We sing of and extol Mary. Joseph remains in the background, like a film extra with only a few lines.

But Matthew gives Joseph a brief starring role.

The older I get, the more my politics mature from childish, naïve beliefs like "the world is complicated and leaders have to make hard decisions" to more serious, adult principles like "hurting people is bad and helping people is good."

If Jesus is King, it is the weirdest “kingship” ever not-known in history...because he invited everyone to a shared table and proclaimed liberation. The kingdom he envisioned was one of human solidarity, non-violence, and shared goods.

A federal judge didn’t “steal” the Commander-in-Chief’s powers—she ruled that DoD exceeded the limits Congress set. That is the rule of law working as designed. What threatens the Republic isn’t judicial review, but officials who insist they’re above it.
