Charlie Kirk wasn’t the only person shot today. But, they’re not big name MAGA’s, so it’s unlikely we’ll hear much about it from this administration.

OK clergy friends When do you max out on services for a Sunday?
Yesterday I had four (which is one extra to my normal) and that was challenging.
4 different congregations, 3 different sermons, 2 different languages.

OK #clergyfolks, question for you have you watched The Bear season 4? If so do you feel the 4 month countdown clock as a metaphor for the institutional church at this moment? What is it driving for you? Anxiety? Fear? Creativity? Excellence? #Anglican #episcopal #elcic #elca

General Synod is back in session, with the election for primate. The lay motion passed and The house of Bishops sent one additional nominee, Bishop Shane Parker of Ottawa. Members are discussing, at the wise recommendation of the Chancellor, the prolocutor allowed that space. Ballot 3 is on the way.

Went on a long trail run yesterday in preparation for my first running event in a long while. The trails in the copeland forest were mostly snow covered. Hopefully it will thaw by the end of April for PickyourPoison!

So that was a Sunday...
It started far too early with a low bg, rewrote my sermon before my first service, my deacon was snowed in so I was flying solo for my early. My commute between churches was snowy and had a traffic jam because of the 400 being rerouted. Making me 15min Late.

As a Canadian, I really don't get some segments of US Christianity. It just doesn't seem to mesh with the scriptural witness. The invocations at the start of the inauguration, just left me wondering about how they read scripture.

As a Christian (and canadian) listening to the piano music of the inauguration is deeply concerning. Either the pianist is using hymns and music as deep cuts, or more likely it is Christian nationalism trying to evoke tradition.

Some photos from a lovely snowy long run this morning. The slippery snow is definitely slow to run in, but slowly building distance and time on feet is the goal as I build for some target distances this year!

Love this about why expansion of highways increases travel times.
Decades of research shows that expanding highways increases travel times. Some cities are reducing their highways in response.

Decades of research shows that expanding highways, despite its promise to reduce congestion, actually increases travel times.
