Yeah, Compile basically did what Nintendo did with the OG SimCity, by making it way more fun than the computer versions. They weren't content with just topping Tokuma Shoten's slop.

I actually got a Sega Master System from a friend in high school (1997ish), and it was one of the first games I picked up for it when I actually found retrogaming stores that actually sold SMS carts. It absolutely prooves the justice of our culture over the jankass NES/FC port.
