The person you trust isn’t the original. They’re a perfect copy… and they don’t know why they exist.
They sold a piece of their soul to protect you or the group. Payment comes due at the worst possible time.
They saw something that shouldn’t exist. They lied to everyone, pretending they didn’t.
A corruption festers within them (disease, curse, or parasite) and it’s starting to whisper ideas.
They’re secretly working for your enemy, but now they’re in too deep to stop.
They used to be a monster: a killer, a cultist, a vessel. The urges are returning.
They were declared dead years ago, yet here they stand, using a false identity.

Today, Freya experienced a sudden medical crisis. I found her lying limp and barely responsive. When we got her to the vet, her pulse, BP, and blood sugar were all dangerously low. Vet said if we'd waited an hour, she might not have survived.

Starting week 3 of everyone in my house being sick..

Either we keep passing it back and forth, or we keep bringing new illness home. Symptoms are all over the place, no Covid or anything easily testable.
