Sorry to bring it up but US voltage is too low. For the same power of appliance you need 4x the current which means heavy cords that get warm during use - esp if they're long. (Vis à vis Europe).

I think you're making a serious point - there's so little joy in the world right now that if there's an 'other side' from which to emerge we're all going to be damaged goods one way or another.

The day 1 rights never really made sense - having employed some folk who didn't really fit in, it really is important to have a probationary period so that either side can back out gracefully.
