Future us will look back and realise that the countries who figure out how to manage and use immigration for our benefit are the ones which did the best.
I've felt many things as a "pro-immigration fanatic". Anger at the hate, division and bs spread by likes of the Telegraph mainly, but never "humiliation". The evidence is clear, and global, people move, people have always moved, people will always move, and that is an overwhelmingly positive thing.
As someone who's enjoyed adjuvant chemotherapy I find this all strangely familiar.

Just keep digging, Petey-boy.
So they went from it didn't happen, to it happened but it was someone else but it was legal to the "fog of war" prevented us from knowing there were survivors when we did conducted another strike on the wreckage.
Q: So you didn't see any survivors after that first strike?

HEGSETH: I did not personally see survivors. The thing was on fire. This is called the fog of war. This is what you in the press don't understand. You sit in your air conditioned offices and plant fake stories in the Washington Post

If they wanted to step the war they'd stop attacking.
While "peace" negotiations continue, remember that Russia could simply stop the war at any time.
December 2, 2025 at 5:56 PM
There's a reason for that.
Trump claims he's slashing drugs prices by "200 percent, 300 percent, 400 percent, 500 percent, 600 percent, 700 percent, 800 percent. Nobody has ever heard of it before."

When they increased employer NI they could at least have justified it by describing it as an incentive to increase productivity.
@philmoorhouse.bsky.social this is brilliant from Torsten, there is a strategic plan but it needs communication.
Rightly lots of debates about growth this weekend - rightly because it was low productivity growth that saw wages entirely flatline during the 2010s.

I'm not doing Black Friday discounts this year.
It’s just me in my Manchester studio. I can't compete with big brands slashing prices.

I was at the village post office to deposit the cash from a charity collection and the customer before me told the owner that 'traitor' Keir Starmer should be hung. The owner agreed, offering to do the hanging. What poison on social media are we not seeing for such a conversation to take place?

Looks like a Whopper too!
Sibelius saw Whopper Swans flying over him. This inspired the majestic main theme of the last movement of his 5th Symphony; emulating the majesty of swqn flight. Here is a Whooper Swan dabbling with bum in the air. Suppose he saw this instead. His swan theme may be different youtu.be/nJXll1UQfGs?...

Isn't it time for a cold hard look at this whole issue without the politics? A royal commission etc?

- We could always just jump to the end and realise that we need an International plan to look at how the whole world is going to work out migration and its +ve and -ve effects.
Coverage of the refugee proposals demonstrates why we have such a broken political system. Endless focus on left-wing anger and right-wing support. Basically nothing on whether the reforms will work. They will not, which is why we'll still be here having the same debate in three years.

Dear Mr Trump: what is insurance?
Trump: "I want the money to go into an account for people where they buy their own health insurance. It's so good. The insurance will be better. It'll cost less. Everybody is gonna be happy. They're gonna feel like entrepreneurs. They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"

It's so important to remember that the energy required to maintain a house at a certain temperature is *exactly equal* to the loss of heat to the environment. That's why insulation is so important.
To be clear, what is being proposed here is to axe the main mechanism for getting Britain’s homes insulated - which is by FAR the best way to reduce household energy bills in the long term 🤦‍♂️

…and also, just incidentally, an absolute non-negotiable requirement for meeting UK climate targets 😬🥵☠️
