As the second Trump administration begins and new cabinet members and appointees take up their positions across the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, there may be changes in the public health landscape.

Great news. You don't have to worry about the next pandemic (bird flu) because the Trump administration has silenced all communications between CDC and the public. Same for all health services including FDA. And you guys were worried because Trump is no longer supporting WHO. Ha. Yes, time to panic.

The censorship begins: According to officials, the Trump administration is instructing health agencies including the CDC, FDA, NIH, and HHS to pause all external communications, such as health advisories, weekly scientific reports, updates to websites and social media posts.

NEW—Trump WH has blocked all CDC science reports (eg MMWR) & suspended all CDC / FDA / NIH external communications of all HHS agencies until further notice... including all FDA & CDC Health Alert warnings & all social media. Public health be damned.

⚠️Trump’s withdrawal from WHO is unlawful until is is approved by Congress.

The U.S. entered WHO via 1948 resolution passed by both houses of Congress. Trump WH’s unilateral action notifying the UN of US withdrawing violates US law because it does not have express approval of Congress to leave WHO.

Trump’s White House just withdrew the US from the Paris Climate Agreement and World Health Organization. This shameful embrace of science denial puts the entire world at greater risk of climate catastrophe and deadly pandemics.

25% tariff on all Canadian imports will devastate gas prices. Shown here are all the cross border imports of Canadian oil. Keep in mind that a lot of US oil cannot be directly used/refined in the U.S.— we actually export U.S. “light” crude and instead import “heavy” crude to use in U.S.
