I thought Labour would struggle for their first year in office because of the gap between “what they’d promised to do” and “the tools they’d given themselves to do it”, I just hadn’t anticipated that they would be well into the second year having essentially decided to learn nothing.

Something else that slid by was that registering to postal vote had to be done a month before the vote. I got caught out by that as I was working in Paris although I didn't think we'd be dumb enough to vote to leave. I'd forgotten how stupid so many people actually are. Problem with democracy really

Coming to every leafy suburb, courtesy of the so-called Labour Party. Not about housing, nothing for local infrastructure, but about appeasing greedy developers and overseas investors. Don’t vote Labour Labour in the May elections - show them what happens if they ignore the will of the people.

Well Barnet Council did not give a fig for the children of Northside Primary School when they approved 96 “Luxury” flats on Lodge Lane car park in N. Finchley - no affordable housing whatsoever. Would rather try and gentrify N Finchley and blight children’s education. So what hope for the newts?
